Coastal Assembly PBC is building intelligent, autonomously deployed coastal systems to create trillions of dollars worth of new shoreline and protect existing coasts from erosion and sea level rise. Our technology turns natural forces; waves, current driven sediment transport and storms into an engine of resilience and growth. Coastal Assembly transforms coastal resilience into a high-margin, scalable service. Our first product enables resorts, sovereign nations, ports, and private island owners to protect and grow the mass of their beachfront. By guiding natural sediment movement and coastal dynamics, our systems stabilize shorelines, expand beaches, and reduce long-term erosion and flood risk—transforming coastlines from fragile liabilities into thriving, living assets. Our long-term ambition is software-defined coastal land: turning coastlines from static, defensive infrastructure into a programmable asset that can be grown, protected, and shaped continuously through intelligence and adaptation. This paradigm replaces one-time construction and endless repair with living systems that learn from their environment and strengthen with every tide and storm. In the near future, these same systems will be used to cultivate entirely new coastal land at planetary scale, living islands, peninsulas, and expanded shorelines—creating places where people will live, work, and build for generations. This is not land reclaimed from the ocean through force, but land grown in partnership with it. We are a multidisciplinary team born out of MIT's Self-Assembly Lab, combining nearly a decade of experience growing islands and coastlines with deep expertise in coastal architecture, physics, environmental systems, and computation. Our mission is to secure the world's coastlines and manufacture new coastal land by working with nature, guided by intelligence.
